SURGERY TO STUNT DISABLED GIRL'S GROWTH RAISES ETHICAL QUESTIONS
In a case fraught with ethical questions, the parents of a severely mentally and physically disabled child have stunted her growth to keep their little "pillow angel" a manageable and more portable size.

I'm sorry, I tried to read this with an open mind, but in all honesty, I can't say that I agree with stunting this girls growth.
I can't see how it benefits the girl whatsoever, and whilst I feel very sorry for the parents having to look after and lift and carry a severely disabled child, I really believe that what they have done is 'playing God', when really in natural terms, the choice shouldn't have been theirs to have made.
Also, now the 'floodgates' have opened, I feel that more and more people will be trying to take the same route.
