AlaskanLDS here--You are so awesome! Totally a *POWER POSTER* especially today (yesterday rather I guess!) Keep up the great work!

If you need a practice player on chess I could play you. I really am not a great player so I don't play against experts! But I do enjoy a game of it with someone closer to my level. If not, I will play RISK anytime you want--I really love it!

Thanks Alaskan LDS I managed to cut the tour short and got back early yeah! So tomorrow relax church garden. Now I better get to some of these posts and then risk.

I am sure that everyone else knows this--but what do you do for a living? You mentioned you "cut your tour short."

I am still getting to know people here, and playing the RISK game has helped get a feel for personalities. I am glad that you got member of the month. Between JB, LDS, you and KNtoran, I am starting to feel what people call online "friendships." Thanks!

My tour was one of head north see ma pa drop off some old lawnmowers to keep pops out of trouble and grab a load of manure for the flower beds from my cousin. Planned on having to stay till Monday but the Sun cam out and let me load up and come home. Wet manure gets heavy and hard on the springs in my small truck.


You likely have said one of the kindest thing any one can so thanks! I am glad you are feeling that you have friends here.


I terrorize the citizens in my town with high electrical bills. I work in the local utility and wear so many different hats it can get confusing. Primary function is to help spear head the smart metering for residential customers and continue to look after the billing of the big customers. I also get to handle the really disgruntled customers and convince them that it is their own life style that is causing high hydro bills not faulty meters.

Cool part is often it is large batch runs that take time to run that allows me to play in here. Then I grind out the checks to ensure all is good. I hope to move back more into metering one day, I miss the field work and seeing my public more often. I love getting into see a customers home and show them where they are using power and how they can change that. In 18 years I have not found a fast meter causing bad reads. Closest I cam e was one I wrote down to natural causes and gave a rebate. The persons tv antenna was hit by lightning and the track mark from it when down his siding and in to the electrical meter base. The man received a bill for 10,000 kWh in 30 days. That at the time was about $8,500 cdn highly unlikely on a 200 amp service. He got the rebate and all was fine after.

All customers are nice you just have to show them how to be that way.

I find that I have no problem with my use of city electric. I am one who is always looking for a way to cut the amount of power I consume. I am thinking of generating my own power by placeing some wind turbines in my back garage. nothing big and fancy just enough to help me cut down on how much I rely upon the city.

I have made missteps I have made great discoveries, never leaving my magic black box. In this box is cold hard electronics the one thing I used to understand. Now the box is magics but those who use it I now understand.

I have not been here the longest but there is one who drive me to respond accurately and with passion. No do not back down but ensure what you say you can back.

Others just agree blindly to many things and are glad to be. I know not where I wonder but I know this is where I am.

Life is a black hole to me and I love lights that shine there in.
