I can understand couples who are desperate to have a child at any cost. However, it seems irresponsible to take unnecessary risks with substandard care that could jeopardize the health and/or life of the mother or children concerned. If couples are unable to afford fertility treatment in a safe environment perhaps they should consider adoption. There are so many children in need of a good, loving home.
