NEARLY HALF OF CANADIANS WITHDRAW RETIREMENT SAVINGS EARLY

About 40 per cent of Canadians are shrugging off tax penalties and are pulling money from their registered retirement savings plans early to invest in homes, pay down debt and cover living expenses, a Scotiabank survey suggests.

If they are still doing this what does that say for those same people when they get to retirement age? How are they going to be able to survive on what they are earning?
