TiffKim Introduction

Hello, I am a university student in California. My areas of study are sociology and ethnomusicology. I am particularly interested in learning about the many genres of music available throughout the world. Once I have completed my studies, I hope to teach students with visual impairments (as I myself am totally blind) or work in social services. My hobbies include playing the guitar, reading, singing a capella, creative writing, jogging, ceramics, baking, and tandem cycling. I primarily joined this forum to explore the role-playing games currently available to the community. However, I am also interested in making friends, discussing current events, and learning about other cultures. I look forward to being a part of this community. Thank you.

Greetings. That listing of hobbies you gave would not have revealed to me that you were blind from birth, you must be a special person indeed since other people I know that are blind have not found themselves so involved in such activities - thus I congratulate you.

I am especially interested to know if the site is easy for you to navigate? Most of the options are via a drop down menu, does your software also read those or only embedded links and text on the page?

Hello and thanks for the welcome. This website is quite accessible. My software is able to read the drop-down menus quite well. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the spell checker was very accessible too. The only thing I would say is confusing are the smileys but I tend not to use them anyway. I look forward to meeting new people and becoming an active participant on this forum.

Concerning the smilies, I would not worry about that, we generally despise their use anyway and use them rarely.
