Aequidens Introduction

Hi, I'm new here (obviously), just wandered in following a google link.
I am part of a number of forums on the internet and was hoping to find with at least some local focus (local in this case being T&T).
I'm afraid I really don't know a lot about this forum, I hope I am in the right place, one of my interests is homeschooling, and that was the link I followed into here.
Hope this meets your criteria, thanks.

Hi Aequidens, welcome aboard. This is an International Community and one of our boards is Trinidad and Tobago. I am LDS_forever, an Argentinian living in Trinidad and Homeschooling my 6 years old son. Are you in Trinidad homeschooling, too? I look forward to your posts. All the best! smile.gif

Introduction Aequidens

Hi LDS, I am in Trinidad, a Trini basically. I am not homeschooling, my daughter is only 3 (and in a preschool she loves). but I am considering it beyond preschool, since I am not too comfortable with the Common Entrance mill that most of our primary schools are.
Thanks for the welcome smile.gif

between, what's the deal with the flag? and can I change it? I know when I signed up it asked for country of BIRTH (with birth in caps) so I put it, but I have not been there since I was a child, and don't consider myself Canadian.

The flag displays the country of birth, I suppose you can put Trinidad as your country of birth to show a Trinidadian flag. Feel free to reply to this thread:

Aequidens Introduction

Greetings. Your flag displayed is your country of birth. There is another field in your profile where you can put your current location, but you are in fact a Canadian regardless to however long you have lived there.

You may also wish to know that unlike other Communities threads here are not considered 'old' since each Thread is like a WIKI of a Topic. Concerning date stamp, you need to change your Skin as you are using the Plain version. Try using Red, Blue or Executive, etc.

You know, I have long considered displaying two flags, one for birth and the other for location. Maybe I will consider it some more as you have brought it up.

We have many deep Threads within the Trinidad & Tobago Board. It is a rare thing to find a Trinidadian that can Discuss the current issues without becoming over sensitive or rude, I hope you are not that type. I will be looking forward to what you have to say.

Lastly, we have a very comprehensive FAQ Board that you may wish to look over, however, if you ever have questions do ask here.

That Thread about 'old' Discussion was actually discussed here:
