Toyota unveils car that parks itself
A car that can park itself without the driver having to touch the steering wheel, said by maker Toyota Motor Corp to be a world first, went on sale in Japan on Monday.
Toyota's new hybrid gasoline-electric Prius sedan uses electrically operated power steering and sensors that help guide the car when reversing into parking spaces.

Now this I gotta see. It almost reminds me of the cars in the movie, Demolitian Man, where the cars drive on auto-pilot. Or like in the movie, Total Recall, where the taxis drivers were replaced with machines to drive the cars. I don't know if I want a machine to drive for me, let a lone park for me.
What are your thoughts?
The Japanese are very creative with their ideas, in fact this is 'old' technology. Remember that it has to go through extensive testing before the public can have it. Often what we use today is really technology of several years ago.

I deffinatly dont think that i could have a car that controls it self. |
That car would be so cool to own. I read in this one magazine that there is a car that looks almost like a beatle, its a hydrogen fuel cell prototype. You can download information on what type of car. If you download Viper, it will drive like a viper. If ya download Corvette it will drive like a corvette. They are also working on interchangable hard tops for this thing. The doors open outwards so you can walk right through it. The steering wheel is like a game console controller. Its wicked.
