Knives account for far more emergency room visits than guns, but guns kill more people, a new study suggests.

Knives Guns Ratio
Well you have to look at this way. Most knives are only hitting the body at 5-10 mph. Most bullets are hitting the body at 1,000 feet per second. From these tow speeds you can clearly see that a knife is less likely to do as much damage as it enters the human body than a bullet. Plus you have to factor in that a knife is rigid and does not break apart like the soft lead of a bullet.
