WTO POWERS FAIL TO BREAK TRADE DEADLOCK

The United States, European Union, Canada and other major trading powers at the World Economic Forum failed Saturday to revive talks on liberalizing global trade, but leaders said they remain hopeful of a breakthrough.

There won't be a break through. The WTO is only as strong as its weakest member. When one member can unequally influence everyone else, then it will not be successful. When lower members don't really have a say, it won't be successful. Until the super powers understand this, there will never be an organization that can participate on a global scale that can consistently benefit everyone.
