1 ts Nutmeg; heaping

1 ts Allspice; heaping

1 ts Cinnamon; heaping

1 ts Ground cloves; heaping

2 ts Cocoa powder

3 c Flour

1 ts Baking soda

1/4 ts Salt

1/2 c White raisins

3 Eggs

1 1/2 c Sugar

1 c Honey

3/4 c Oil

1/2 c Broken walnuts

Boiling water In a heat-resistant measuring cup that will hold more than 1 cup, put 1 heaping tsp each of nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon and cloves. Add cocoa and enough boiling water to make just over a full cup. Set aside. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt. Beat eggs in mixer. Add sugar, honey, and oil and beat well. Add spice mixture to egg batter alternately wiht flour mixture. Put in greased tubepan or 2 loaf pans. Top with raisins and nuts which have been

slightly covered with flour. Cover these lightly with some of the batter and bake it at 325 for 1 hour or more until cake tests done.Makes 1 tube or 2 loaf cakesFrom NAFY67C@prodigy.com (DEBORAH EPSTEIN)
