SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota - Ever wonder about your ancestors--where they settled, how many children they had, and what legacy they left? The lure of genealogy can be hard to ignore. Marge Robertson, director of the local family history center run by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, recommends starting with immediate relatives. "Talk to the people who are still living. They're your best source," she says.
I notice allot of LDS run geneology places. It makes allot of sense if you look at our pasts. Most of our family lineage used to be kept where? In the family bible. The church is actually a good place for lineage to be kept and researched. The last comment is absolutely true though. I learn more from my grandmother than I do researching other sources. She also can tell me stories that keep me in touch with my family roots.
