The fact is there is no proof. At least you can prove where black gold (oil) is through geologists, but in this case the evidence is based on unknowns and probably even myth with a touch of gossip. I do not see any site claiming or can claim the legitimacy of this. Regardless, I was getting tired of having to edit the spam remarks of "visit this site", or "contact us here because we know where it is". The fact they have to keep emphasizing so much the word "legal" is suspicion in itself. This site does not entertain the scammers and spammers.
I read a bit on this subject and it is quite intriguing. There is a legitimate theory that the treasure does exist and has not been found. However, there is also the evidence that it has never been found and people have looked for it for quite a while. Marcos claimed he found the gold and stashed it away in many accounts. One thing that cannot be denied is that the hunt for Yamashita's Gold is a business.

I particularly like this quote:
QUOTE |
The Philippines Treasure Industry A large and profitable treasure industry exists in many areas of the Philippines, these scams range from the selling of bogus "Treasure Maps" to gullible tourists becoming caught up in elaborate confidence tricks that can relieve would be investors of large sums of money. Be very wary of anyone approaching you with offers of an "investment opportunity" in treasure hunting operations anywhere in the world, but be doubly careful when it relates to the Philippines. |
Yes one has to keep their eyes open, if it sounds to good to be true it likely is. I love these myths and rumors and they do inspire the imagination.
Yes the word legal was tossed about far too often.

Comments: My mom told me a story that several Japanese officers used to go to their house and make friends. They were really friendly. But during the liberation they left their big house and when they came back they saw 2 large octagon stone at their garden which has Japanese inscipt letter. Up to now those stone were still there left untouched because no one could move it even 10 people. Do you think this is the marking left by those Japanese friend and a possible small gift from them.
Well, since you know the stones have not been moved, all you have to do is have someone write down what they see and then translate it on the internet using a international keyboard. International keyboards are very common and you can use a site called Bablefish to do the translation. Honestly, I think it is nothing. They probably just made the house the headquarters on the way out.

Comments: I saw this one video in the Philippine news there is this one guy that saw the GOLDEN BUDDAH its like 8 feet tall and he told the MAYOR of the LA UNION then the mayor told the President. Now all the media was there and people were trying to carry out the GOLDEN BUDDAH, but the head broke then all the diamonds fell off the ground, its not just the regular small diamonds(its 2-4 inches big).
People on sight CANNOT PICK any of the diamonds or else they will get shot. I've heard that alot of people got diamonds from the Golden Buddah using their shoes.
I have a friend that is from LA UNION Philippines and they have seen the GOLDEN BUDDAH themselves.
The sad part is, The guy that saw the Golden Buddah was put in jail because ex-President Marcos doesnt want any people in the whole world to know that Philippines really have the Yamashita treasure. Marcos burned the Golden Buddah so nobody could see it, but they said that the Diamonds are still in La Union.
Wherever you search, that Philippines news about the Golden Buddah caught on the camera was never release again, Filipinos doesnt want any people to find out about the Yamashita Treasure and Golden Buddah.
Believe me or not, but I am 101% sure that ive seen the video of the Golden Buddah in the Philippine news. Even my dad I have seen that news.
There is a lot more Yamashita Treasure in the Philippines.
