SHOOTINGS KILL SHERIFF'S WIFE, DEPUTY, 2 SUSPECTS
In what authorities are calling a targeted killing, the wife of a Florida Panhandle sheriff, a deputy and two suspects died in an exchange of gunfire outside the sheriff's house Tuesday evening, an official with the State Attorney's Office said.

Killings Targeted
The real tragedy is the innocent people who died. I feel bad for the deputy who died in the line of duty as well. But when you do that job you necessarily take on and accept the risks of the job you do. The wife of the Sheriff didn't opt in for that kind of risk to her self. As well, the other two people were not proven guilty of anything, thus they were still innocent. Three innocents for what, to get one sheriff or deputy? Such a tragic waste of life and energy.
