The judge in John Edwards' federal corruption trial ruled that the jury should continue deliberating after they reached a verdict on only one of six counts.
Edwards' lawyers had asked for a mistrial after the partial verdict on the ninth day of deliberations. The charges carry a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison and a $1.5 million fine. Ref. CNN
