What a disappointment. What is the matter with America? Has everyone become blind or desperate?

Edwards John

John Edwards is Obama's answer to the Hillary challenge to the DNC. Hillary is continuing to say that Obama is not electable because of his aweful numbers with what I will call "financially challenged, blue collar-white" Americans. That is demographic that voted for Edwards. This is as about as close as you will get to seeing a VP named before the convention, but be assured that that is what Edwards has been working towards. He holds no seat in congress and is not a governor. Unless he wants to go back to his lucrative private law practice, he needs a job. If he is not going to be VP, he is going after one of the prime cabinet positions, but look for them to be the ticket come November.

Oh, the timing on this is also a bit of spin to downplay the landslide loss in W. Virginia to Clinton. Nicely timed I might add... If I were Edwards, I wouldn't expect a Christmas Card from Clinton this year.

Well Edwards did get 7% of the vote in Virginia even though he isn't running so this can only help Obama. Race can always be an issue in some people's minds, so having a White Vice President is definitely a step in the right direction for voters who are still undecided.

Honestly, I can't see Hillary and Obama running together. Hillary is too much "in charge" to be second fiddle to Obama. That would be a nightmare. So, yes, I agree: Edwards is warming up to be VP.

And who dug this up? Hill and Bill? Someone else who doesn't want John Edwards on the ticket with Obama? Interesting.

Edwards goes on to state that he admitted it to his wife at the time, but I have very little respect for any man or woman who cheats on their spouse - particularly someone in public office who is supposed to be above reproach.

I find it all interesting that people will go out of their way to discredit a potential running mate for Obama. I think it was the republicans who dug this up to make Obama pick a weaker mate thus giving McCain a clear advantage in winning the election even though the media has already elected Obama as the next president. Tell me again why we even vote anymore?

John Edwards Challenge

John Edwards has admitted that he cheated on his cancer stricken wife, Elizabeth Edwards, but says that he is not the father of his mistresses child and that when he cheated on her Elizabeth was 'in remission'. Oh, well that makes it all better, right? Edwards conveniently admits to affair in public on a Friday afternoon with nothing major going on---just the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics that billions of people tuned in to watch. Edwards also says that 'you can't beat up on me any more than I've already beaten up on myself'. Glenn thinks otherwise and that's why he's asked listeners to take part in the 'John Edwards Challenge', a competition where listeners call in and just rip this cheating dirt bag a new one.
