Molly Maxwell
What is your review for the entertainment value of the movie called, "Molly Maxwell"?
Molly Maxwell (Hover)
At Phoenix Progressive School, where everyone tries to outdo each other with creative self-expression, 16-year-old Molly Maxwell (a Tash) would rather be invisible than risk revealing herself as completely ordinary. When her young, handsome, disillusioned English teacher (Charlie Carrick) enters the picture and allows her to just be herself, Molly is suddenly able to flourish. As their student-teacher bond becomes more intimate, she begins putting herself on the line in unexpected ways while pursuing what she wants. But with each awkward, beautiful step towards an impossible romance, Molly risks alienating everyone she loves.
What do you get when you take a young naive girl and put her alone with a teacher who should no better? You get Molly Maxwell. The acting was believable but I was not sure what was really being said... Is it OK to explore infatuations / love when it ethically and lawfully wrong or not OK? The mother of Molly Maxwell had a strange part to play, especially near the end, maybe her daughter was just duplicating what her mother had already gone through? Molly Maxwell is not the kind of movie you would want your daughter to see if you are trying to get her to stay away from older men.
