SHELTER FORCED TO KILL 1,000 DOGS AND CATS
An outbreak of contagious diseases at a shelter where officials admit they kept animals for too long without destroying them has forced the killing of about 1,000 dogs and cats, officials said.

The people responsible for this shelter should be sent to jail. The outbreak of these deceases were preventable but they chose not (and they admitted) to follow Humane Society policies, and though the animals were immunized they were using the wrong immunizations. How in the world this can be possible?
they seem to have been aware of the problem early on, and chosen to ignore the advice given..surely this amounts to neglect and should carry some sort of penalty given the mass amount of death sentences inflicted on these poor animals?
I agree that anybody can make a mistake, but these people were warned against this, and are now free to open their doors to more animals..it really doesn't seem right to me.
