Monster In Law

I just finished watching this movie and there are a couple of really funny parts. It's a comedy where Jane Fonda definitely steals the movie! She is just amazing and even though Jennifer Lopez is supposed to be the star, Jane Fonda takes over on the role of a possessive, controlling, drama-queen mother who is willing to do anything to stop her only son from marrying Lopez. Fonda acts the role in such a way that is almost natural to her!

I recommend it for those lazy moments when you want to have a good laugh. smile.gif

I did enjoy this movie. However, not enough to EVER want to see it again.

I agree that Jane Fonda was the real star of the show.

somebody recommended this to me the other week, but I haven't had chance to watch it as of yet.
I think it will be more of a film that I watch by myself, as it doesn't sound like the sort of film that my husband would watch.
To be honest, it sounds a bit like my mother in law, laugh.gif, so I look forward to watching this one! (I'm just joking if my mother-in-law ever reads this!)

Just saw this. It is refreshing to see a movie where you do not have to dodge nudity and bad language. Jennifer Lopez did well in this movie and so did Jane Fonda. In fact Jane looked great despite the years - she could still turn many heads - young or old. I had a few laughs - nice watching.

Law Monster

This was a funny movie. My daughter liked the scenes where the two women imagine doing really bad things - like when the Jane grabs J-Lo by the hair and slams her face into the plate of food repeatedly, and J-Lo hits Jane in the face with a cast iron fry pan - and then they come back to reality and pretend to be nice.

JB - No bad language? I guess you missed those parts. Completely unnecessary, in my opinion, and makes it one of those movies we won't watch again.
