Terry Brooks

Terry Brooks is the author of some of the best fantasy in the modern era. His most well known fantasy is the Shannara Series. He started this series in 1977 with the first installment entitled "The Sword of Shannara". This spawn eleven more books in that series with his latest series in the of Shannara series being the High Druid saga.

In addition to this, Terry has written five books in his Magic Kingdom of Landover series and three books in Word and the Void series. Using his talents for fantasy on three separate plains, he has also written a book that is a workshop for young fantasy writers.

Having played the Shannara Series out, it looks like Terry is going to tell the story many of his fans have been asking for years, what happened that ruined the old world, the world before Shannara? Armageddons Children comes out in august, I will have the first release. This looks to link the Great Wars with the first council of Paranor.

In addition, Terry should be releasing another book in the Word and the Void series for those wondering what happened to the Gypsy Morph and the Knight of the Word. He intends on finishing and releasing it in 2007, but doesn't know when he will finish is next book in the Magic Kingdom of Landover series.

I have read quite a few of Terry Brooks books. I have enjoyed quite a few of them. I believe I will have to read about the world and how it came to be Shannara.
