I have a couple of questions about real estate:
1. Why is it so affordable real estate in Nova Scotia?
2. Why is it so expensive in Victoria and overall Vancouver island?
3. Which province (no city) have very affordable prices in real estate, great facilities for families, safety, lots of green and parks, friendly people and snow that can be easily managed during winter?

Nova Scotia offers little employment opportunities and many do not like 10 feet of snow. You will also likely note the cheap spots are very isolated.
Victoria has beautiful weather very warm and has a very limited land space. This puts its real estate market in a very exclusive price range. Vancouver island is bigger and has more commercial on it then Victoria so that is the reason it is cheaper. For years it was seen as the place to be.
I say no snow impossible!
