Although I understand the mothering issue, I do not think you may be really considering this in totality. Keep in mind that you have no arms or legs - who is going to feed you, bathe you, clean you up when you mess yourself and so forth?
Now, when you consider that then think who is going to do it for your kids? All for the sake of just 'seeing them grow'? Unless this woman has great insurance, lots of help or a husband with multiple arms then she will need care almost like a newborn from her loved ones - my point is I cannot see myself being such a burden to those around me - both for them and for me watching them. Ironically it is a case of I do not want to see.
Does it say how long after she would die? There are stories of people living long after expected 'death date' given by doctors.
The hospital stated that she had "streptococcus, a flesh eating bacteria, and toxic shock syndrome" - all of which are quick as well as deadly. That flesh eating disease eats a person up from the outside in, and in very little time. But I've never heard of anyone actually surviving it. They just keep getting amputations until they die.
I am not with JB on this one I would definitely want to see my children even if I could not hold them. I would be very difficult and I would hope depression would not win over but I would not want to just die because I had no limbs.
A gent I worked with his wife was at home recovering from a heat attack when she noted a strange patch of skin on her leg. They rushed to the hospital where they cut a huge portion of her inner thigh out. It was quickly explained that she had streptococcus the flesh eating disease. Know one could explain where she got it as she had been home for 2 months and know one they knew had got it. She never got it again and was OK for 7 years after that (was the last time I spoke with him).
I really hope that if the hospital is at fault that they are penalized and the lady well support for the est of her life. I can not imagine the financial burden that his family will face for the rest of her life. God bless her husband for remaining true in his vows to lover her always, as many would have packed up and ran.
