Cancer Cervical

That's a very high percentage of American women, infected, one in four! It's really quite frightening to think that in all probability the numbers will go up, not down.
I didn't actually realize that there was a sexually transmitted disease that could be contracted that could result in cervical cancer. The worrying thing for that in the future is people who have cervical cancer being thought of as having 'slept around' when obviously this isn't the case for all patients with cervical cancer.

Hopefully this new drug will be available to those who need it, as it is dire that this disease is combatted and made a thing of the past.

Cervical Cancer Health & Special Psychology

The article is exaggerating. Many people have HPV and don't know it. It doesn't affect a large number of the people who have it. It is only contagious when there are warts which people usually get right when they contract the virus or when their immune system is suppressed. Some people get the warts one time and it never comes back, but others can have their genitals covered in warts. I have a few friends with HPV and I try to be on top of medical news. The HPV form that can cause cervical cancer is the one that doesn't form warts from what I have read. This type of HPV changes the cells and that's how it causes cancer.
It's best to get tested and to know your body. Also see a doctor for other check ups.
