IN GAMBIA, AIDS CURE OR FALSE HOPE?
At the only hospital in the capital of this tiny West African nation, a 3-year-old AIDS patient named Suleiman receives his daily dose of medication -- a murky brown concoction of seven herbs and spices served out of a bottle that once contained pancake syrup.

Really it is urgent that this cure is checked out fully, as dying people may be taking something that is doing them absolutely no good whilst coming off a medication that at least is keeping their illness at bay.
I'm not going to say that it is impossible that the dream the Governor had could possibly have given him the answer for a cure for hiv/aids... There have been many cases that have become real, when in fact they look to be totally impossible.
I just hope that he isn't leading these poor dying people 'up the garden path', dying people because of the nature of severity of their illness have no choice other than to cling on to any glimmer of hope that is offered to them.
Truvada - the AIDS turn around drug?
Using pills to prevent HIV is itself controversial.
On one hand, the pills could help protect the healthy partners of HIV-positive patients, says Anthony Fauci of the National Institutes of Health. The pills could give people a way to protect themselves, even when their partners refuse to use condoms, a common problem in some countries. Ref. Source 3
