True Finns cultural policy inspired by Hitler -Oksanen

Sofi Oksanen, a Finnish author, was quoted as saying by Italian daily La Repubblica on Tuesday that half a million of her compatriots had voted for a party that drew inspiration from Adolf Hitler.
"In the field of arts his ideas are clearly inspired by Hitler," Oksanen was quoted as saying about Timo Soini, the leader of the True Finns party.
La Repubblica's interview with Oksanen formed part of a broader story on the rise of the extreme right in Europe.

True Finns party opts for opposition over Portugal bailout

Timo Soini, the leader of the True Finns party, said Thursday that the party would not be part of the next coalition government.
Soini's announcement came the day after the National Coalition party and the Social Democrats announced they had struck a deal to approve an EU/IMF bailout package for Portugal.
Soini said Thursday that the Conservative-SDP deal was unacceptable for the True Finns
He repeated that the party opposed bailouts in all their forms.
Soini said his party had put in a serious effort to join the government.

WHO hasn?t dreamt of the opportunity to travel abroad on business? But if travelling on business means 12-hour days, weekends cut short on both ends, and turning up for work each day feeling utterly exhausted, glamour can quickly turn to grind.
?It?s taxing when already on the weekend you have to leave for a trip or at least pack your bags. On the last three Mother?s Days in a row, I?ve had to rush off to catch a flight straight after breakfast,? says mother of five Outi Holopainen.

Finnish PM-elect upbeat as fiscal working group delivers

Talks to form a six-party rainbow coalition in Finland took a big step forward Wednesday evening, with Eero Heinäluoma, a Social Democratic party negotiator, announcing as he left the House of the Estates that the pivotal fiscal policy working group had mostly finished its job.
Heinäluoma added that some tax issues would be left to a meeting of the six party leaders.
The six party leaders started their meeting Thursday morning.
