Cleaner Drain Home

Thanks for the recipe, Latina! I always seem to have problems with clogged drains around my house; probably because of my wife and daughter having long hair. I have spent so much money on drain cleaners that this is worth a try.

Baking powder, salt and vinegar will not dissolve hair Malexander. Just use good old Draino, the crystals. Once you have your drain cleared, then get yourself Roebic brand: K-67 Bacterial Drain and Trap Cleaner. Follow the instructions, and then use it the recommended schedule to keep all of your drain pipes clear. Especially your washing machine drain!!! Once all of your pipes are clean, there should be no more problems with clogged up drains. Once a month you will need to remove the drain cover from in the bathtub, it should just pop out, then pull out all the trapped long hair. If your wife washes her and your daughters hair in the sink, you will need to do it there and also remove the trap and make sure no hair is caught there.

I always washed my dog in the bathtub - on a weekly basis. She had very long hair, plus I did too. So I have been there ~ after I pulled out all the long hairs, I put the Draino crystals down, then a week later I started the K-67 treatment. I think it says to do it either every three months or every month.

I did it to all of the drains: kitchen, bathroom and most especially the washing machine drain ~ that one was horrible!!! When we had a goat get loose under the house and break some of the drain pipes ( mobile home), it was amazing how clean the drain pipes were. So I know the stuff works.

Cleaner Drain Home

Name: Eve

Comments: This is my technique for my bathroom sink and shower.

1.Take drain cover off use wire(like from coat hanger) make fish hook size small hook on the end and put it into the drain to pull up hair clog. Use gloves as you may want to grab it to remove it.

2.Sprinkle baking soda into drain. Stand away from the drain as to not inhale fumes.

3.Poor vinegar into drain and let it foam.

4.Boil a pot of water and poor into drain.

5.Put drain cover back on.
