Call Upon The Universe

Call Upon The Universe

Many humans believe that there is 'something' in the Universe that feeds off of the positive energy that you vibrate. For instance, by merely thinking consistently and positively that you will become rich then the Universe makes it happen. Most humans who believe in this cannot explain in exact terms how it comes about except to say that because humans are part of the Universe it is merely a matter of tapping the power which is within them. What is your view?

Universe Upon Call

There are many who believe that humans are made up of a special star dust that makes us a significant part of that higher part of the universe. I actually believe this... although I will not refer to it as 'star dust' I do believe we have a particle within us so finite that not even the greatest of inventions to date can pick it up.

It is obvious to me that we are conected to the universe in every way, how that connection is made is what puzzles everyone. I believe that concentration on the innerself reveals a lot about the universe.

Universe Upon Call

I baled alfalfa hay at night when I was in high school. One night in the wee hours of the morning when I was bored to tears I noticed a cluster of stars. After that, no matter where I was, or what I was doing , if I looked at the sky the first thing to catch my eye was this cluster of stars. I thought it curious and mentioned it to a lady I was dating once. She looked at me very serious and sad, "Maybe that's where you came from." I laughed, but found very quickly she was dead-cold serious. Now it is 50 years later than when I first noticed the cluster, but it still catches my eye if I look at the sky and gives me goose bumps. One night while looking at the website below I came across a photo and knew immediately what it was. Then I found my star cluster had a name and that I wasn't the first to notice it. Bigger goose bumps! Are we connected to the stars somehow? I have no idea, but I feel a strange connection to this cluster called Pleiades, or The Seven Sisters.

When you go into the apod website below you can find my star cluster at January 3, 2005

Now something I wrote about space and time some months ago. I hope you find it interesting

I was looking at pictures of the stars and galaxies the other night on   https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html and decided to run the numbers. The following is what I came up with.  They are writing here about a group of galaxies that started my wheels turning. The key number is 450 million.

The photo can be seen by scrolling down to February 8, 2007

Explanation: Quote APOD

QUOTE
This stunning group of galaxies is far, far away - about 450 million light-years from planet Earth - cataloged as galaxy cluster Abell S0740. Dominated by the cluster's large central elliptical galaxy (ESO 325-G004), this sharp Hubble view takes in a remarkable assortment of galaxy shapes and sizes with only a few spiky foreground stars scattered through the field. The giant elliptical galaxy spans over 100,000 light years and contains about 100 billion stars, comparable in size to our own spiral Milky Way. The Hubble data reveal a wealth of detail in even these distant galaxies, including magnificent arms and dust lanes, star clusters, ring structures, and gravitational lensing arcs.

Now my numbers............
A light year = 6,000,000,000,000 miles X 450,000,000 light years = 2,700,000,000,000,000,000,000 miles to the galaxies described above.

It is only 26,000 light years to the center of our own galaxy. So 26,000 light years X 6,000,000,000,000 miles = 156,000,000,000,000,000 miles just to the center of our own galaxy.

If each person on a space ship lived to be 80 years old, it would take a self sustained spacecraft traveling at the speed of light, with the crew teaching their children how to run the spacecraft, 325 generations of humans just to get to the center of our own galaxy. To reach the edge of what Hubble can see 450,000,000 light years away it would take 5,625,000 generations of human beings to make the trip.  After about three,or four, generations of children on this spaceship, the ship would be "home" and there would be no reason to return to mother earth. After 10 generations the pioneers that started the trip would be only something occasionally read about in the old log books.
This is all supposing that we humans will someday acquire the speed of light at 186,000 miles a second.
