This is a trend I see all too often. Really, there are two extremes... You have the girls who get pregnant by accident and have children early and then there are those who want to plan everything to a tee and end up having children when they are almost finishing their peak of fertility. I guess the main reason is that modern mothers just want one or two kids for the most.

I consider myself a "modern" mom and I do not want just one or two. I have three and I just know I am not "done". I think most of the time people just do not want to deal with the work that involves when you have more than 1 or 2 kids, it's a lot of work and like the saying goes "children do not allow you to be selfish". Delaying motherhood is just a trend, specially from Hollywood where they know they can get pregnant at 42 by using artificial methods that ensures them a multiple pregnancy, killing two birds with the same stone.
