Chocolate Chip Cookies

I tried this Betty Crocker recipe today and you can ask JB or Felipe how they taste like . wink.gif

Ingredients:

3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
2 1/4 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)

1. Heat oven to 375ºF.
2. Mix sugars, butter and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
3. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
(Total time will vary; cook or bake time is per batch.)

I can of course attest to the "yummylicious" taste that this recipe makes, there is one problem with it though... the amount made is usually too little, so plan on doubling the ingredients or baking it again the next day!

I doubled the ingredients for this recipe today and it made lots of them! Felipe and JB were eating some as soon as I took them out from the oven. wink.gif

I think you will have to triple it next time. People be warned... these cookies are very addicting and one is never enough, two cannot satisfy, three is not even a starter, four... well you get my point right?

I am a big fan of Betty Crocker Recipes since they are always very simple and fun to make. This chocolate chip cookie recipe sounds delightful LDS! Thanks for sharing! I am looking forward to making these cookies for Easter!

Hello LDS! Thanks so much for sharing the Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. I tried it today and they were scrumptious! I almost ate the whole batch! biggrin.gif I need to ask you two things: how long do you bake your cookies for 10 minutes? After baking, are the cookies supposed to feel very soft when you take them out of the oven and they become hard when they are cooling? Anyway, my spouse was so surprised and he enjoyed the cookies a lot! The best part of all is, this recipe is quick and easy, just the way I love to cook!
