Chocolate Chip Cookies - Page 2

QUOTE (Geenie @ 16-Apr 07, 11:14 PM)
After baking, are the cookies supposed to feel very soft when you take them out of the oven and they become hard when they are cooling?

Yes, they are supposed to feel soft when you take them out (giving you the impression that they are not cooked eh? wink.gif ) But then they get harder when they get cool. They are supposed to be chewy in the middle.

I usually leave them around 9 minutes (it all depends on your oven) until I see they are light brown.

You will laugh at this. But I baked the cookies for 15 minutes! Yes I was under the distinct impression that they were raw after 8, 10 minutes. But funnily enough, they still taste great and I got my spouse seal of approval! So that's good enough for me. I will try this recipe again and I will follow you and bake them for 9 minutes! Thanks again for sharing!

Nothing wrong with leave them for 15 minutes if you feel they are still raw, some ovens seem to heat more than others. As long as they have been at least 9-10 minutes there, then they are surely cooked. smile.gif
