I don't suppose tanks have a cooling system for the inside, but it actually makes sense to keep the inside cooled, at least to some extent. Being inside a big metal box, under intense stress and pressure, you are asking for heat related problems. But you don't want to sacrifice protection for comfort, I would rather be miserable than be comfortable. If there is a way to keep things cool and not compromise the structural integrity of the tank, then its a great idea.

The federal government will soon decide the fate of the army's fleet of aging Leopard tanks, some of which are being used by Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan.
