Advantage: Heavier or Lighter?
In a fight, does a heavier or lighter weight person have the advantage?
I would think that is depends on how great the difference is. In a match were one is significantly larger than the other, the larger man has the advantage for a couple reasons. 1. He can absorb allot more punishment. 2. He can dish out allot more pain.
But if their weights are closer, then the faster person becomes advantaged because he can move faster.
I agree with konquererz. Size does matter especially if the bigger guy is a good 100 lbs heavier. Depending on each of their strength the larger person would be harder to lift of squeeze.
It really depends on the fighters.
There are men who weigh 230 pounds who move as fast or faster than men who weigh 170-180 pounds, men who weigh 140-160 pounds who are stronger than men who weigh 170-180.
At times, the faster man will be able to get in, throw his strikes, and get out before the slower man can react.
At times, the stronger man will manhandle the smaller man, or the faster man, no matter how much faster or quicker the other is.
It depends entirely on the fighters.
