As mention in the article but I have to sum this up in simply two words.
Parental Responsibility
I define this as a parents responsibility to influence their children in a positive manner as to discourage behavior that would be seen as unfit. The teachings of the proper values to mold their children into the young adults that will one day be responsible for making the decisions that affect the lives of everyone around them. Taking the responsibility on yourself to control your children.
If a parent has a problem with their childs cell phone activities and can not correct this without an extreme action then disconnect the cell phone. If it does not work they can not talk on it. The article also mentioned that only 2 of 5 companies had unlimited nights offered, switch to another carrier. How can a parent blame an industry for the behavior of their children? It is a parent responsibility to raise and control their children, why should industries in the economy have to do it for them?
Cel phones is the new outlet of vice and crime and it is so sad that our youth have such easy access to this tool at an early age. Parents - you have to monitor your child's phone big time. I recommend getting them one WITHOUT all those fancy features.
