Title: Mormons, Marijuana and the Word of Wisdom
Comments: I was asking a member of the Stake Presidency about medical marijuana. He said that the church's position on it is that a person can hold a temple recommend if they have a legal prescription and uses it only with the dosage prescribed by their doctor and acquires it through the legal places to get it from. Some argue that section 59 says it is ok to use as long as it is not in excess because herbs "enliven the soul." I am pretty sure our Heavenly Father did not intend for this herb to be smoked.
