This is just horrible! Why 31 people dead? Couldn't the police stopped the gunman faster? Of course, is hard to judge because these kind of things usually happens very quickly. My heart goes to the victim's families. What a tragedy.
A news conference recently put the death toll at 33, including the shooter. The police are saying that they are unsure if the two locations are related to each other. In the dorm, a man and woman were killed, then two hours later across campus, 31 were killed including the shooter. He hasn't been identified because there was no ID on him. It's horrible. One thing that irritates me is the press. They look for ways to accuse law enforcement. They say the police should have put the entire campus on lock down after the first shooting, but how do they do that when thousands are in transit? The press irritates me completely, but I guess they are a necessary evil.
Apparently, this was a relationship gone bad. The guy thought his girlfriend had been cheating on him and came over to her place early in the morning and had a arguement. A RA was called to diffuse the situation, but when they arrived, the boyfriend then produced a gun and shot the girlfriend and the RA. 2hrs later, he shows back up to campus loaded with ammunition and chains off a section of the building and randomly shoots and executes students for approximately 20 minutes before killing himself with plenty of ammo left.

The british news agency strangely has the insight to this or is at least the first to publish it.
There is also a thought that 3 bomb threats in the previous week were actually the would be killer's testing of the campus and law enforcement response timing.

Yes, the media has continually asked questions like...why didn't you lock the school down after the first shooting? Have you changed the universities procedures on how to handle this type of situation? How come you didn't enter the building faster? Basically, it equates to why did you let those people die?
2 arrest have been made, but there is no information why or possible connections with the killer the arrested may have.
Senseless...

Tune in for live coverage of the university news conference at 9 a.m.
I think he did it all on his own, I don't think there is another shooter. This is so terribly sad. It makes you realize that you never know what really goes on in the mind of someone.
