Crown: Porcelain or Metal

Do you think is better to have a crown or any kind of tooth fitting out of Porcelain or Metal such as gold?

Porcelain! NO gold please! spock.gif It is a trend now here in Trinidad for teens to have golden teeth, I just do not understand it. Why would you want to have a golden crown? I think the more natural, the better so that's why I think porcelain should be the choice.

I do not like the idea of gold or even metal in my mouth, but I think Latina's question is more about durability / health rather than one of cosmetics.

Porcelain would be my choice since it looks more natural. I understand that the gold crown is often preferred by the majority, since it is considered a status symbol.

In my understanding, the porcelain is bonded to a metal crown. So it matters not which type you prefer, you're getting metal either way.

The "gold tooth" syndrome is popular here, too, amongst gangsters and rappers.
