Oralloy Introduction

I'm not sure what to say as an introduction.

I generally tend to like political discussions best, but really can find many topics interesting. I'll happily join in scientific discussions on topics that interest me.

I am located in a rural area of the American state of Michigan.

I was raised Catholic but haven't been to church in awhile. I intend to stay Catholic though.

Politically, I consider myself a conservative Democrat. That label doesn't fit perfectly, but it fits better than most others.


If my introduction isn't satisfactory, go ahead and ask a question of me. If it isn't too personal I'll try to answer it.

Welcome to the Community. Based on your earlier Email I am guessing that you eventually found the validation Email? If so, where did you find it?

Introduction Oralloy

The confirmation email showed up about 20 minutes after I sent the message saying that I hadn't gotten it.

It went into my bulk folder, but I was looking for it there. I have no idea why it was delayed.


I added a little bit of info to my profile. Some of the questions I wasn't sure how to answer. Like the intelligence one -- it seemed pretentious to proclaim myself a genius, but I didn't want to label myself as dull or insane either. "Logical" seemed a nice safe choice that is reasonably accurate.

I don't know where I rate as far as attractiveness so I left it as "plain". Not sure that is accurate, but it seemed to be the least-bad answer.

Oralloy, thanks for the update. That is strange that you would get it so long after. Usually Email from our server is sent within a minute, maybe it was something on your end? However, I will check it out and ensure our mail server is working efficiently.

Concerning the profile info... you are fine on what you put, just choose the ones most appropriate. Feel free to chose an avatar to represent your Posts or upload your own picture when you get enough FP (do so via Forum Shop).

We also have a Photo Album and a Hot or Not section if you wish to upload some pictures there. Do feel free to jump into Discussion. I am interested to read your political views.
