Brother, Can You Spare A Bride?
Imagine you reach at your wedding day drunk and because of it, others decide that your fiance should marry your brother instead! I wonder how the bride feels about it.

"The groom was drunk and had reportedly misbehaved with guests when the bride's family and local villagers chased him away," Madho Singh, a senior police officer told Reuters after Sunday's marriage in a village in Bihar state's Arwal district. When I read this, I couldn't believe it because of the culture that I am used to---it would never happen in most countries!
I hope the bride was happy with the arrangement, because the decision seemed to be down to everybody except her!
In the report it says that the original bridegroom was crying and scared that word might spread and he would never get another bride! This is quite sad all in all, because he's probably right, the culture and traditions are so different from the western world, and the consequences from his actions are probably very serious for him. It just seems a shame to be penalized so heavily for something that in my culture would be taken quite lightly!
