Is it possible to secure / demand or pay a ghost to do your bidding?

I do not believe it is possible because ghosts and humans in this material world are on two different planes. Neither can place 'demands' on each other, but I do believe they each can slightly influence the emotions of each other.

I have to agree with JB here. I think it would be kinda neat to have a few ghostly servants but I doubt that one can effectively communicate with a ghost. Emotional influence from you or the ghost is very limited.

Even if it was possible to employ a ghost to do your bidding, the bible says we are not to speak to the dead. So I will just file this under stay away keep out.

Communicating with ghosts is almost impossible. All mediums do is perceive the reaction to the subconscious that the spirit creates.

We can commune with our own spirit and it's guide, but this is still only the better part of ourselves that we are looking for guidance from.

I came across a spirit once, a strange experience I would not care to repeat. I was not keen to stay in the room, never mind say Hello!

In order to make a demand we would have to have some power over the spirit.

I do not see any feasible way to force a spirit to do anything, as we barely have any contact with them, let alone the power.

I agree, what motive would a spirit have to co-operate with us?
Stories of making contact through mediumship are unreliable to say the least.
I believe spirits do exist on different levels but communication with them is most difficult to prove.
