Please understand that psychic is a very broad term for a veriety of abilities. What you are talking about it telekinesis, which is reading and sending of thoughts. I would say that is a rare form but possible for some psychics.

I don't think anyone can know what someone is really thinking. I think hat they may get is impressions about the possibilities of thought, but not the actual thoughts themselves.

Exactly. Sensing emotional states is a more common ability in psychics. Many can hear or see spirits as well. Many also get visual impressions rather than hearing or feeling things. There are many ways and degrees a sensitive might get outside information. Many get the same information in different ways, and they often have to rely on their personal interpretive skills just to understand what information it is they are getting. Much of it is very subtle and sometimes just plan jumbled and hard to understand. For many of them it takes time and conscious effort to try and understand it. I think that is is the main reason why it is hard to set up tests for such abilities, as well as getting doubters and sceptics to change their minds. A lot of people are very black and white thinkers and such abilities are anything but.

Sorry I didn't come back so quickly and answer that. I got wrapped up in some preholiday stuff then family stuff... I gots way too much stuff!

My son and I are both very empathic. I have dreams that turn out true more often than I care to admit. I also can see shadows and light that shouldn't be there with the average lighting or lack there of and often feel unusual energies in places. My son often sees the same only better formed and is also very sensitive to energies, I think more than I.

I think I know a bit about it between that and knowing a few people from time to time that did posess some abilities. One could clearly hear spirit chatter (one kind of psychic ability), another was sensitive empathically similar to me (another kind), I have heard of those who read imprinted emergies off items or pictures and was able to either tell about the person it belonged to or match that item up with the owner.

I think my biggest interests have always been in parapsychology and psychology both because the two do play on eachother very strongly and deeply. They are related yet not quite the same. I think we all know how relations can play on (or sometimes off) eachother. >;-p

Sometimes I feel like I can feel the dark energies. For me it is easier to feel the darkness than the light, am I correct in thinking that?
