I saw the TV version of this - I imagine from how it was cut that the film was more explicit than what I have seen. This film is about radical activists and how far they will go to get their point across. The actions in this film leaves many questions to be answered for instance:
S P O I L E R
1. Did David go through with the whole act because he wanted to die (because his wife left him) and at the same time use it as a message for what he believed about death row inmates?
2. What was the role of the cowboy really besides being an assistance to the whole affair? Was it that he was also an activist and needed to make a point? Why did he take money to those people in Italy (I believe I missed something there as I was walking around the room.)
3. Isn't there better ways of proving a point without killing yourself? In fact David really got what he deserved and was far from innocent!
What are your thoughts?

Once convicted, he ends up on death row in Texas himself"¦ hence begins a race against time to discover what really happened at the crime scene.
