Umbrella

I have been meaning to start this Thread for a long time. One of the hardest things t find is a good umbrella. The umbrellas that they sell nowadays is so cheap that they fall apart with the slightest amount of rainfall. I have bought expensive ones, cheap ones, long, short and so forth and they are all the same --> crap! Do you have the same trouble?

Well it is nice to hear from someone who has the same problem like me. My spouse bitterly complains that I must be the only person in the world, who takes a whole hour in one store, just to select an umbrella. I tend to gravitate towards the automatic ones. They come in handy when you have so many parcels in your hands and only one finger to press the button that opens the umbrella.

Those small ones are the least durable and tend to flap out at the first under current of wind that passes by. Handy - yes, worth the money - no, will last you at least a month during the rainy season - no.

This may sound really weird, but I do not ever remember using an umbrella for anything. Most times its the car to inside and back to the car so no need for umbrella.

You definitely need an umbrella where I live laugh.gif, we only had around 3 dry days the whole of August this year which is supposed to be our Summer season.
I've tried loads of different umbrellas, but the best one that I've had, was bought for me, and the person who bought it didn't realize that it was a man's umbrella-it's really sturdy though with a wooden handle, it's larger than most umbrellas and so far has survived strong winds as well as heavy downpours of rain!
I find most umbrellas give up more through strong winds than they do through the rain.
