There is violence even in the school amongst those that you would think should have more decorum than what was shown at a Central School (Montrose Vedic School) yesterday. I do not have the report handy, but I think the senior Teacher should immediately be released of duty (if he was not already since he was reportedly on sick leave)?

JB, I am not surprised at all by the incident. When I was teaching in both private and government school, you will be surprised at the non-sense that goes on in schools. A full investigation should take place. For some reason, there is such a lack of self-control within the Trini population that is seen through students, parents and teachers. Aggressive, violent behavior is fully accepted in our school system.

I would expect there to be a full investigation and all parties involved would receive the full discipline as defined in their contracts. I would expect that the two parties would also be shipped to new schools since all student's respect for them at this point would be lost.

Comments: Some Principals deserve a good punch or two! They hide behind the authority of the MOE while maliciously abusing their power. It's a "Friend thing". If your face is stuck up the Princy's rear you may have lucid periods in your workplace. On the other hand,if you are adverse to the taste of fecal matter, you are doomed to be at the mercy of these charlatans. There is need for an educational Ombudsman to address the "Administrative mischief" that ALL Principals indulge in. Maybe then Teachers will have some peace of mind at their workplace!
