I first want to apologize for my slow uploading of recipes. I promise I will get to them before we start next week food menu.
In my previous blog I told you that I shop for clothes twice a year. I still manage to do the sales.
I purchase summer clothes, mid- May to early June. Its still cool weather so myself and my family are still wearing winter spring clothes.
For winter I start early September.
Now if you have 12years olds. You know they can sometimes have a growth spur. Mine did, they went from a size 12 to 14. So I had to rush out and get them pj's, jeans, and my daughter dresses. So I found myself shopping way into October.,
Now because you were not out constantly shopping at all the sales. You can now afford to fit in the additional clothes into your budget.
I was now happy everyone had what they needed..
Saturday night my daughter rushes up the stairs to my bedroom with tears in her eyes, "Mom" I have no modest clothes to wear to church.
I said to her, "Calm down" lets go to your closet and see what you have.
Before I did this I explained to her how our expenses work. The clothes that I bought her was approved by her and she had to wear them. She would not be getting anything new till summer. I will shop for her only if she grows out of them.
I know this is harsh, but you have to teach them the value of the all mighty dollar. Clothes prices go up not your pay checks and we have to live within our means.
I found 3 outfits for her and told her to pick one. She did, and the next evening she said everyone was complementing her on how pretty she looked.
So please Moms and Dads teach your kids to live within your means.
God bless
Anna
