If Steve Jobs' Apple decides to build a wireless phone, as widely rumored, the company has the chance to shake up not just the wireless device business - an industry dominated by the likes of Motorola and Nokia - it also could open the entire wireless distribution model in the United States.

A wireless IP phone? Thats not only revolutionary, its close to brilliant! We have mobile phones, mobile internet, and mobile internet on our phones, why not mobile phone via internet protocol? If this works and he gets it out first, it will be another "ipod" type market creation and another Steve Jobs idea that was fabulous. I love the idea!

Apple CEO Tim Cook says iPhone order 'threatens customers' security'

In a message to customers, Apple CEO Tim Cook said Apple opposes an order by a federal judge that ordered the firm to help the FBI break into an iPhone belonging to one of the killers in the San Bernardino, Calif., shootings in December.
