Two things. I am a alcoholic so I can not drink wine. I have found that if I eat pasta or bread even a little I seem to gain some wait unlike if I eat other foods. I guess there is something in my digestion and body that makes carbs bad for me. I still eat some here and there but for the most part I avoid them.

So if you are not rich or highly educated this diet will not work for you at all? I find this hard to believe. I think this research is skewed in the fact that they feel it is just a rich person diet.

KN,

I'm with you in that. The platinum card in your wallet or the degree hanging on your wall has nothing to do with how your body functions. Also, I'm guessing if they went to any of a few hundred little Italian or Greek coastal villages they'd see people living well into their 90s and even 100s and damn near none of them are rich or well educated. They are fishermen or laborers who happen to eat a healthy diet. The diet our bodies were meant to consume. An omnivorous diet where everything is eaten in moderation. Oh, and they aren't totally sedentary.
