British Home Improvement
This Thread deals with how Home Improvement is handled in this country. In other words do most people tend to take care of their homes by keeping them well painted, repaired and clean or are houses left to time and the elements without remorse?

Most people tend to look after their houses pretty well usually, but of course there are the exception in a few who can't be bothered doing anything!
Most people tend to centre their home improvements around the kitchen and bathroom, lots of money being spent personalizing these two rooms to how they like them.
Other than that, most houses at the moment tend to have the recent trend of plain colored walls, although obviously there are some who have multi colored wallpaper!
Double glazed windows were a very big business in the 80's and 90's, but most houses tend to already have this done, but there are still some who have to include this in their home improvement schemes.

I can't fathom it out either. The only thing that I can put it down to is the fact that people here like to entertain and host parties, where mainly the kitchen would be centred around and entertained in. I guess most people don't invite other people into their bedrooms, so less focus, time and money is spent here. (I guess if you were the type of person that only entertained people in your bedroom, then this would be the room that you lavished all your money on)
