Trinidad Police Arrest Mechanic - Bomb Materials

Both CNC3 and TV6 news carried a report about a mechanic in Arima having in his possession enough dynamite and other bomb materials to level a city block. The materials are normally used for quarrying but the mechanic is not involved in this and was arrested based on the possibility of malicious intent. Thoughts?

Any updates on this news? I would like to know what was the excuse given by the mechanic for possessing such dangerous materials and in that amount.
