I was reading an article the other day about British celebrities (women) owning these cars... there were at least 15 known celebrities with one, it certainly seems that they hold some type of 'status' about owning one.

The test car was a 2009 S model with about 4,000 miles. It had issues:

"¢A creaky top. Probably due to its status as both a "very, very early production, borderline preproduction" model and a slam-bammed media test car, says Vincent Kung, Mini product manager.

"¢The driver's safety belt wouldn't retract properly when taken off, so it often got caught in the driver's door. Ditto on the reason, Kung says.

The only thing I don't like about really small cars like the Mini Cooper is being in an accident. In an accident a small car like this is crushed and the people hurt really bad.
