I actually like Hugh Grant despite the bad publicity that he has encountered in the media.
I think that on this occasion he had been hounded by the media, and despite repeatedly asking them to back off and give him some privacy, they wouldn't leave him alone, resulting in Hugh Grant throwing the tin of beans.
Although I don't condone violence, I can see why he was driven to his actions, because repeatedly the media hound famous people and just don't let up to the point of almost stalking the celebrity
