Another book read from the Quran and I must admit that almost all the books of the Quran (with but one exception) are written like all the writers went to a meeting and were impressed by a great teacher, then went home and did their best to repeat what he taught on paper. All the books say the same thing over and over. Only book 12-Yusef has a story line with a moral to the story. I am beginning to long for just one more book that says something other than Allah is great, Allah is kind and forgiving, Allah knows all, Allah created the heavens and the earth, and of course the obligatory, you will live in hell if you don't believe. Oh well, only 93 more books to read.

Interesting, very interesting! These three verses go against everything I have ever heard about the teachings of the Quran. Read this, then read it slowly again.

This book deals with honesty, kindness, modesty, chastity, and marriage, but in verse 33 we learn that there are those that have forced their maids into prostitution...

QUOTE |
Nour-24th book of the Quran. 24:33 Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allah gives them means out of His grace. And if any of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in them: yea, give them something yourselves out of the means which Allah has given to you. But force not your maids to prostitution when they desire chastity, in order that ye may make a gain in the goods of this life. But if anyone compels them, yet, after such compulsion, is Allah, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to them), |
